GOP lawmakers gave doctors, hospital administrators, insurance executives and corporate CEOs everything they could ask for and more, while once-powerful Democrats raised objections that were quickly dismissed or ignored.

If government is taking money out of our pockets, then taxpayers have a right to know how it's being spent, and on whom.

Instead of throwing money at businesses, maybe we should use those resources to develop a state and a workforce that are more attractive to new industry.
