Gov. Kemp: Virginia Transformer to Create 400 Jobs in Effingham Expansion

Staff reports that Gov. Kemp, on Thursday, announced that Virginia Transformer Corp. will invest $40 million to expand its existing manufacturing facility near Rincon, creating over 400 new jobs in Effingham County. The Rincon facility operates as Georgia Transformer.

According to the report, the state ranks second-highest in average student loan debt, with borrowers owing about $42,226 on average.

Cobb commissioners approve $4.75 stormwater fee
