GIDA Announces Elevate Glynn, a $1 Million Investment in Local Businesses

Elevate Glynn 600x448PRESS RELEASE – BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Golden Isles Development Authority (GIDA) launches Elevate Glynn, a comprehensive initiative designed to provide local entrepreneurs with the capital, education, and resources they need to start, grow, and expand their businesses.

In partnership with the Lucas Center and the private sector, more than $1 million dollars are earmarked for investment in entrepreneurs in the Golden Isles.

Elevate Glynn brings together multiple funding opportunities under one unified program, creating a streamlined pathway for businesses at every stage of growth. The initiative represents GIDA’s continued commitment to strengthening the local economy by investing in businesses that create jobs, revitalize commercial corridors and build long-term economic prosperity.

“95% of the businesses in this community employ less than 50 people, and one in two working people is employed by these businesses. This is a sector of our economy that is critically important.” said Ryan Moore, President & CEO of the Golden Isles Development Authority.

“While GIDA is often recognized for its recruitment efforts and supporting industrial development, economic growth also happens one entrepreneur at a time. Elevate Glynn represents a $1 million investment in the people and businesses already calling Glynn County home, helping them access the capital, mentorship, and resources they need to succeed.”

 

 

Elevate Glynn’s Funding Programs

  • Microloan Program – Loans of $5,000–$25,000 through the Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship for pre-bankable businesses, paired with mentorship and business education.
  • Revolving Loan Fund – Financing in partnership with local financial institutions for expansion projects, including real estate, construction, renovations, and equipment.
  • Matching Grants – Support for placemaking, innovation, workforce education, and aviation-related investments.
