Brantley Wildfire has not entered Glynn, prompted evacuations in county
Michael Hall reports, while mandatory evacuations were issued this weekend for parts of Glynn County, the Brantley County wildfire has not entered Glynn, officials said at a press briefing Sunday evening. The massive wildfire that started Monday afternoon when a mylar balloon struck a powerline and sent sparks to the drought-parched ground has burned more than 21,000 acres just a few miles from Glynn County in Atkinson, Waynesville and other parts of Brantley County.
