Georgia ranks among top 10 states for remote work, Desky study says

Miguel Legoas reports that since the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work has become much more common. Assuming this becomes a standard, how would Georgia fare with this new model? Pretty well, according to Desky. The platform for work data and supplies conducted a study on the best states for working from home, and they determined Georgia is one of the best.

Staff reports that the Georgia Ports Authority announces the appointments of Flavio Batista as Chief Commercial Officer and Rob Dooley as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2024. The appointments reflect a succession plan put in place in 2023 for the June 30, 2024 retirement of Chief Financial Officer Michaela Thompson and for the current Chief Commercial Officer Cliff Pyron to step into a GPA advisor role.

Blank Foundation helps fund UGA mobile vet clinic

Amy H. Carter reports that the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has pledged $750,000 in support of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine’s shelter medicine program.
