Georgia employment sets more records despite rise in jobless rate

Dave Williams reports that Georgia’s unemployment rate rose slightly last month but remained well above the national rate, the state Department of Labor reported Thursday. The Peach State’s jobless rate of 3.2% for May was eight-tenths lower than the national rate of 4.0%.

Polk County Hospital Nets $500,000 from State Tax Credit Program

Staff reports that Atrium Health Floyd Polk Medical Center received a revenue boost of $520,245 last year through donations from Georgia taxpayers, who received credits in return.
