Honoring influential Georgians

Each year, Georgia Trend selects a Georgian of the Year and this year’s honoree is Lee Thomas, deputy commissioner of the Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Office, for her leadership in making Georgia a top location for filming movies and TV shows.
We’ve also selected the 100
Most Influential Georgians, 50 Notable
Georgians and inductees into the magazine’s Most
Influential Hall of Fame. Michael Cassidy, director of Emory Biomedical
Catalyst, and Maria Saporta, award-winning writer and editor, are this year’s Hall
of Fame honorees.
In addition to featuring all of these outstanding
individuals in this month’s magazine, we will celebrate them at a luncheon and
awards ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Sponsored by the Georgia Chamber and Fidelity Bank, the luncheon will be held in the Georgia Aquarium’s beautiful Oceans Ballroom. Reservations for the luncheon are open until Jan. 15 and can be made by calling 678-381-2163 or emailing mesha@georgiatrend.com. It’s an opportunity to network with the Georgians who have an impact across the state.
