Sweet Headquarters: Edible Arrangements is opening its “second headquarters” in Atlanta. The Wallingford, Conn.-based franchisor of fresh fruit baskets already considers the city a retail franchising hub.
South Ga. Healthcare: Tift Regional Health System is building a $40-million facility in Cook County that will add 50 new jobs. The 120,000-square-foot facility will replace the Cook Medical Center and offer the same services as the current facility, along with an outpatient surgical suite.
Fulton Assembly: Netherlands-based VanRiet Material Handling Systems, which manufactures automated transport and sorting solutions, is opening its first U.S. assembly operation and sales office in Fulton County, creating 70 jobs.
Operations Hub: Namely, a New York-based company that offers a web-based human resources platform for medium-sized businesses, will create 300 jobs in Atlanta with a new operations hub.
Medical in Moultrie: The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) is breaking ground on a new campus in Moultrie. The 75,000-square-foot PCOM South Georgia will begin classes in August 2019 with 55 students.
Software HQ: New Relic, a San Francisco-based software firm, is locating its East Coast headquarters in Midtown Atlanta.
