Shan Cooper moving to WestRock

Georgia Trend’s 2015 Most Respected Business Leader Shan Cooper has left Lockheed Martin for WestRock, the paper and packaging solutions company in Norcross.

Cooper will serve as the chief supply chain and technology officer at WestRock, with responsibility for the supply chain and technology functions as well as the company’s recycling business. She will join the company  Feb. 29.

“Shan is an accomplished business leader who will bring additional manufacturing, technology and supply chain expertise to WestRock,” said WestRock CEO Steve Voorhees in a press release. “She will play an important role in the development of our company, including helping us reach our $1 billion synergy and performance improvement goal by the end of our fiscal 2018.”

Cooper most recently served as vice president of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and general manager of its Marietta facility. In addition to being named our Most Respected Business Leader, she has made our list of the 100 Most Influential Georgians several times and received national honors from a variety of organizations.
