Nestled on 600 acres in the North Georgia Mountains is the Hambidge Center, a retreat for writers (full disclosure, I’ve stayed at Hambidge more than once and can’t recommend it enough), visual artists, composers, musicians and practitioners of any other creative discipline I may have overlooked.

And given these beautiful surroundings, how could one not be inspired to create?

Learn more about Hambidge and some of the other nonprofits that help Georgians in a variety of important ways in this month’s Georgia Trend feature “Causes and Effects.”
