More Tires: Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. is expanding again in Bartow County to meet growing demand for its light truck and passenger car tires. The $371-million investment will add 700,000 square feet to its existing facility and create 650 new jobs over the next four years.

Paper In Macon: Aspen Products Inc. is opening a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bibb County. The $13-million project will create more than 200 jobs. The facility will make paper plates, cups, bowls and lunch bags for private labels, major retailers and food service companies.

Carpet Expansion: Mohawk Industries is converting two manufacturing facilities in Dalton and Rome from yarn spinning plants to bulk continuous filament (BCF) twisting and heat setting facilities to meet evolving consumer demands. The $85-million expansion will create 420 jobs over the next two years.

New U.S. Office: Orlaco is opening a warehouse and sales center in Jasper, creating 65 jobs. It is the first office in the U.S. for the Dutch company, which manufactures camera systems for heavy machinery such as tractor trailers, ships and cranes.

Assembly Grows: Decostar Industries is expanding in Carroll County, adding 35 jobs. Its Magna Exteriors and Interiors division, which supplies assembled parts to auto companies such as Nissan and Kia, has leased a 100,000-square-foot facility in Temple.

Augusta Jobs: Wow! Internet, Cable and Phone is adding 120 employees at its 26,000-square-foot Richmond County center. It's the first major expansion in Augusta for the Denver-based company since it acquired local cable company Knology in 2012.

Auto Resins: Korean automobile manufacturer KOPLA is opening its first U.S. facility in West Point, creating 150 jobs. The 100,000-square-foot, $15-million facility will supply engineering plastics resin to auto manufacturers across the country.

Gwinnett Vets: Atlanta-based VetConnexx, an outsourcing company for military veterans, is opening a 31,000-square-foot customer service contact center in Duluth. The facility, which is located in the Greater Gwinnett Place Opportunity Zone, will initially hire 300 employees.

More Jobs: Birch Communications is adding 50 new employees this year. The cloud services provider will add the new positions at several locations, including its existing Macon operations center and sales offices in Georgia.
