40 Under 40 Nomination Form
In every October issue, we recognize 40 young Georgians under the age of 40. These individuals, chosen from a statewide pool of candidates, represent the best and brightest in business, government, nonprofits, education, politics, media, healthcare and the arts.
Some of our honorees are fairly high-profile and others are less well-known; but all are actively working to make Georgia or their particular corner of the state a better place to live and work.
The ideal candidate is someone who is successful in his or her profession and involved in community service. There are some cases in which a day job alone is enough of a qualification, but the state is filled with people who excel from 9 until 5; so we’re looking for folks whose involvement and commitment goes beyond what they are paid to do.
Candidates must be under the age of 40 as of October 1, 2013.
This will be our 17th 40 Under 40 list; the first was in 1997.
We welcome your nominations. We will accept nominations for our 2013 40 Under 40 list from Monday, April 1, 2013 through Thursday, May 30, 2013.
Nominations may be made online through our website (www.georgiatrend.com). They may also be emailed to email@example.com or mailed to 40 Under 40, Georgia Trend, 5880 Live Oak Parkway, Norcross, GA 30093. We cannot accept nominations via telephone or fax.
When you are making a nomination, please tell us what your nominee’s qualifications are and why the individual deserves to be included. We also need the person’s age, workplace and place of residence as well as contact information – telephone number and email. You may also send backup information including resumes or letters of recommendation.
Multiple nominations are fine, and you may nominate more than one person.
The final selections are made by the Georgia Trend editorial staff and published in the October issue. Honorees will be notified and interviewed.
