Pharma Expansion: Bend Bioscience is expanding in Gainesville. The pharmaceutical company recently celebrated a groundbreaking on a 28,000-square-foot expansion that will enhance its commercial spray-drying capabilities while increasing capacity for its complex oral drug products. The expansion will result in 30 to 50 jobs over the next three to five years.

Swainsboro Automotive: Dongwon Autopart Technology will be opening a $30 million production facility in Emanuel County. The company, which supplies components like frames for doors, seats and batteries to automotive original equipment manufacturers, will create 200 new jobs over the next several years at the facility.

Elchinator Source 4280758 1280Sustainable Fintech: London-based fintech company ekko opened its U.S. office in Atlanta in January. The company’s platform allows businesses to add sustainability features to existing payment flows. Its Atlanta office will serve as the base for partnerships with payment processors, card networks and merchant platforms throughout the U.S. market.

Atlanta AI: Tractian is tripling its office footprint when it moves its North American headquarters into Atlanta’s Coda building in Technology Square. The company uses artificial intelligence to predict when machines need maintenance for sectors including manufacturing, mining and oil and gas.

Alpharetta IT: Evernex Operations, a global third-party maintenance and IT lifecycle service company, celebrated the ribbon cutting for its new North American headquarters and Technology Center in Alpharetta. The new space not only expands capacity and storage capabilities, it will also serve as an incubation hub and a center of excellence for engineering training, certification and operational best practices.

Augusta Data Center: In Richmond County, a new $2 billion data center known as Project Eisenhower is in the works and could be operational as soon as this summer. The 2.1-million-square-foot development site is near Fort Gordon.

Startup Shift: Video production software startup AdPipe recently moved its operations from Athens to Atlanta, opening its headquarters in South Downtown. It brought 42 employees, with plans to double its workforce by the end of 2026.
