Record Breaking: Georgia exports broke records for the third straight year. The $49.7 billion in exports last year represent a 5% increase over 2022. Small businesses – those with less than 500 employees – make up 87% of the state’s export value. The top five customers for Georgia goods are Canada, Mexico, China, Germany and Singapore.

Metter Auto: Korean auto parts maker and supplier Doowon Climate Control America Inc. is investing more than $30 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Candler County. The facility, which will be a key supplier for Kia Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group, will create 200 jobs.

Cedartown Manufacturing: Solar recycling company SOLARCYCLE is investing $344 million to open a solar glass manufacturing facility in Cedartown. The first of its kind in the country, it will use recycled materials from retired solar panels to make new solar glass. The facility will employ 600 when it becomes operational in 2026.

Tech Move: Innova Solutions is relocating from Duluth to Dunwoody. The tech company purchased a nearly 187,000-square-foot office building and will move its 300 employees from Duluth into the top two floors of the building.

Fulton Facility: Multifamily community real estate company Resia is investing $25 million to establish a manufacturing facility in Fairburn, creating more than 150 new jobs. The 252,000-square-foot facility will make preconstructed bathrooms, kitchens and wall modules.

Rome Expansion: Clean Air Industries is expanding in Floyd County. The industrial and educational air filtration business added space to its current Rome facility and purchased a building next to it, adding 45,000 square feet in all, with plans to hire up to 30 new employees.

Roswell Hospitality: A $30 million, five-story boutique hotel is slated for Roswell near the popular Canton Street corridor. The 125-room Chambray Hotel will start construction in May.

New HQ: Mailchimp recently relocated to its new campus along the BeltLine in Atlanta. The 360,000-square-foot complex, which accommodates its nearly 1,000 current Atlanta-based employees, is just south of its longtime headquarters in Ponce City Market.
