Economic Development GraphicPeach County Recycling: Pratt Industries Inc. is building a new production facility in Warner Robins. It’s the 13th site in Georgia for the Atlanta-based recycled paper and packaging company, the fifth-largest corrugated packaging company in the U.S. The 496,000-square-foot facility, which will open in 2024, will bring the company’s investment in the state to more than $800 million.

Soccer HQ: The U.S. Soccer Federation, the exclusive governing body of soccer in the United States, has selected Metro Atlanta for its first-of-its-kind national training center and headquarters. All 27 of the U.S. Soccer’s national teams will use the facility. The city was selected in part because Atlanta is one of 16 host cities for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Audience 1866738 1280Candler County Automotive: DAS Corp., a key supplier for both Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Metter. The $35 million facility, which will mainly make auto seat structures, will create 300 new jobs and begin
production in late 2024.

Gainesville Food Processing: CJ Foodville Corp., a subsidiary of Korean company CJ Group, is opening a $47 million bakery and food processing facility in Hall County to support the expansion of its TOUS les JOURS bakery café brand. When at full capacity in 2025, the facility will produce more than 19,000 tons of products a year.

More Metaplant Jobs: Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solutions (LGES) are investing another $2 billion into their battery cell manufacturing joint venture (JV) at the Metaplant in Bryan County. The expansion, which will raise the JV’s total investment value to more than $4.3 billion, will create another 400 jobs.

West Point Auto: Korean auto interior manufacturer Daesol Ausys Georgia is opening a new facility in Harris County. The $72 million investment will create more than 140 jobs. A key supplier for Kia Georgia, Hyundai Motor Group and General Motors, the new facility will begin operations in late 2024.

Milledgeville Expansion: Fouts Bros. Inc. is expanding in Milledgeville. As part of the $4 million expansion, the fire/rescue truck manufacturer is adding nearly 100 jobs this year with 70 more to follow in 2024.
