Gov. and First Lady Kemp Lead Economic Mission to Chile and Peru
Staff reports that Gov. Kemp on Monday announced that he and First Lady Marty Kemp will lead an international economic development mission this week to Chile and Peru. In addition to direct talks with job creators who have operations in Georgia, they will meet with high-ranking government officials in both countries.

Coweta County Student Heads to National Civics Bee
Kathleen Conway reports, a student from Arnall Middle School in Coweta County will represent Georgia in the National Civics Bee in November in Washington, D.C. Ella H. was one of 24 civics challengers to qualify for the Georgia state finals, after finishing in the top three in their local Civics Bee competitions.

Hyundai weighs expanding Georgia factory, which could top Tesla for capacity

Chinese Auto Supplier Set to Inaugurate North Metro Plant
Trevor Williams reports that a Chinese tier-one supplier of automotive electronics is set to launch a new factory this week in the north metro area. YFORE Technology Co. Ltd., which works with 30 OEM automakers (16 of them outside China) and is based in Dongguan, China, has set up the new Forsyth County facility to deepen its North American market access, the company said in a news release Aug. 19.
