Legal Elite 2025
Shakespeare may not have written kindly about them, but the fact is, lawyers are a necessary part of life, whether you’re working out a prenuptial agreement, buying a house or adopting a child. They’re also crucial in difficult situations like criminal defense, filing and defending lawsuits or dealing with the death of a loved one. When such circumstances arise, many people don’t know where to turn to find a decent attorney. Georgia Trend provides a trusted resource: The 2025 Legal Elite, a list of lawyers from across the state held in the highest regard by their legal peers.
Attorneys who live and practice in Georgia and are members of the state bar are eligible to vote and to be voted onto this list via our website (georgiatrend.com). Respondents cannot vote for themselves but can vote for members of their own firms if they vote for an equal or greater number of attorneys outside their firms.
Nominations with the most votes appear in the following pages, separated by category, in alphabetical order. While lawyers often practice in multiple areas, the 2025 Legal Elite lists them in the categories in which their fellow attorneys voted for them.
The 15 practice areas are: Bankruptcy Rights, Business, Corporate, Criminal, Entertainment, Family, General Practice/Trial, Healthcare, Immigration, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, Public Finance/Bond, Real Estate and Construction and Taxes/Estates/Trusts.
Those who made the final list are determined solely by fellow lawyers’ votes; places on the list are not for sale. The names of attorneys who are advertisers appear in red type. The Georgia Trend staff counted the ballots and verified names of those nominated.
If you are an attorney practicing in Georgia and would like to nominate someone for the 2026 Legal Elite, the online ballot will be available Monday, April 6, 2026, through 5 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026.
