Where are they now? 40 Under 40 – John Ahmann

View More: Http://virginiareesephotography.pass.us/john HeadshotsJohn Ahmann, a 2001 Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 honoree, currently serves as CEO of Westside Future Fund.  At the time of his 40 Under 40 honor, he was Senior Vice President for Community Development at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Since then, he has continued to lead with the goal of improving communities and institutions in Atlanta.

For 12 years, John served as Executive Director of Atlanta Committee for Progress (ACP), where he helped drive the BeltLine Partnership, assisted in securing funding to purchase the Martin Luther King, Jr. Personal Collection, and supported ACP’s 2014 Westside Redevelopment Task Force that led to the launch of the Westside Future Fund.

Ahmann is currently the President/CEO of Westside Future Fund, an organization founded in 2015 that builds community in Atlanta’s historic Westside neighborhoods by building partnerships and creating opportunities for residents.

In 2025, when John was named one of Georgia Trend’s 100 Most Influential Georgians, he said, “This recognition is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. None of this would be possible without the belief and dedication of those who stand alongside us in this mission.”

The Annual 40 Under 40 Awards Ceremony will take place Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 from 6-8pm at the Atlanta History Center.
