Investing in the TOUR Championship drives Metro-Atlanta community impact

The PGA TOUR drives positive impact at unprecedented levels to support the local communities in which it plays. Atlanta’s own TOUR Championship within the Metro-Atlanta area serves as an incredible example of how good community citizens can make a lasting impact.

The TOUR Championship has become an integral part of the community over the last 25 years. Beyond being an opportunity for businesses to associate their brands with an elite sporting event, investing in the TOUR’s season finale is an investment back into the East Lake and Metro-Atlanta communities.

In 2024, that investment delivered a record $7.2 million in community impact funds to support key initiatives across Metro Atlanta.

“We’re incredibly proud of the record-setting contribution this year,” said Alex Urban, Executive Director of the TOUR Championship. “This achievement reflects the unwavering support we receive from partners, fans and the Atlanta community. It’s because of that support that we’re able to continue investing in initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of those who call Atlanta home.”

Since 1998, Atlanta’s annual PGA TOUR stop has generated more than $63 million in community impact funds. With the support of its Proud Partners Accenture, Coca-Cola and Southern Company, the event has contributed to five key community organizations: East Lake Foundation, First Tee – Metro Atlanta, Focused Community Strategies, Grove Park Foundation and Purpose Built Schools Atlanta, among others.

The TOUR Championship is unlike any other sports hospitality hosting opportunity for businesses throughout the region. The philanthropic initiatives differentiate this sporting event from other entertainment options as companies decide to how to spend their dollars.

“Sponsoring and attending the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club has been an incredible experience for BlueFletch,” said Richard Makerson, Chief Executive Officer at BlueFletch. “The event not only provides a premier setting to connect with key partners and clients, but also aligns with our values through East Lake’s mission of ‘Golf with a Purpose.’ The opportunity to build relationships while supporting the community and enjoy a world-class tournament makes this partnership truly special.”

Although the tournament does not take place until August and multiple private hospitality options are already sold out for the 2025 edition at East Lake Golf Club, opportunities remain for businesses to invest in the TOUR Championship.
