Kevin Duvall new CEO of Georgia World Congress Center Authority

Maria Saporta reports that the largest convention center in Georgia has named Kevin Duvall to serve as its next CEO. The board selected Duvall at its Aug. 27 board meeting. Duvall, who currently has been serving as GWCCA’s chief operating officer, will succeed Frank Poe, who has been running the authority since April 2010.

The Association County Commissioners of Georgia and the National Association of Counties recently voted to endorse U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff’s, D-Ga., bipartisan HELPER Act, which would establish a new, one-time use home loan program under the Federal Housing Administration or first responders and teachers to purchase their first home — modeled after a similar and successful VA home loan program.
