Centenary Exhibit: Display celebrates 100 years of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.

If you have a Girl Scout in your family (or were one yourself) you may want to check out a new exhibit at the Atlanta History Center, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. The display includes vintage uniforms and badges and even Girl Scout cookie boxes of yesteryear.

“‘100 Years of Girl Scout History in Atlanta’ tells the story of how an organization for girls, once considered radical by some, has grown and evolved with the city of Atlanta to provide every member the opportunity to make friends and enhance their skills,” said Director of Exhibitions at Atlanta History Center Tim Frilingos, in a statement. The exhibit will be there through spring of 2024.

The Girl Scouts have a rich history in Georgia. Juliette Gordon Low founded the organization in 1912 in Savannah, and the home where she was born now serves as a museum.
