Commerce Distribution: GE Appliances is investing $55 million in Jackson County to develop a Southeast Region Appliance Distribution Center. The facility will create 100 jobs when it is completed next April.
Hall Manufacturing: VDL Groep is investing $17 million into a facility in Hall County. The Dutch industrial and manufacturing company will create 110 jobs.
Dalton Solar: Solar company Hanwha Q CELLS Korea is creating 500 jobs in Whitfield County with a new $150-million solar module manufacturing facility.
Macon Aircraft: Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer is bringing 100 jobs to Macon when it opens its $1.6-million, 155,000-square-foot maintenance facility at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
Suwanee Expansion: Specialty manufacturer LTI Atlanta is expanding its operations in Gwinnett County with a new 25,429-square-foot facility. The $3.5-million investment will bring more than 20 jobs to the Suwanee area.
Newnan Logistics: Saddle Creek Logistics Services, a Florida-based third-party logistics company, has leased a 1.2-million-square-foot distribution services center in Newnan. The facility will provide distribution services for a home improvement retailer’s Southeast locations.
Microlender Startup: Atlanta-based startup Groundfloor, a real estate microlender, is investing $3 million in an expansion that will relocate the company from the ATDC business incubator to an office in Bank of America Plaza.
Co-working: WeWork will lease nearly 50,000 square feet of the new $400-million Coda office tower in Midtown Atlanta. The New York-based co-working company already has five locations in Buckhead and Midtown.
