Kudos to Georgia: Area Development magazine named Georgia the No. 1 place to do business for the fourth year in a row. The magazine also ranked Georgia Quick Start as the No.1 workforce development program for the eighth consecutive year. Separately, the International Economic Development Council named the Georgia Department of Economic Development the best state-level economic development organization in the country.


Hart Co. Win: Nestlé Purina PetCare Co. is investing $320 million into a manufacturing and distribution facility in Hartwell. The company plans to create up to 240 jobs over the next five years.


Atlanta Expansion: Global privacy management software company OneTrust is expanding in Fulton County. The $5-million investment will create 500 jobs.


Running Ahead: Fitness equipment manufacturer ICON Health & Fitness is investing $17 million and adding 20 new jobs in Pooler.


More Software: New York-based software company BetterCloud is expanding its Atlanta software development headquarters. The $2-million investment will add 150 jobs.


Buford Logistics: Storage and transportation company Gebhardt Logistics Solutions is relocating its North American production and services HQ in Gwinnett County. The 30,000-square-foot facility is part of a larger expansion of the company’s North American operations.


Midtown Innovation: Professional services company Accenture is expanding in Atlanta, doubling its office space in Tech Square. The expansion will create about 800 jobs and in-clude an innovation hub.


Portside Logistics: Distribution Services International Inc. is investing $13 million and adding 35 new jobs and 550,000 square feet of warehouse space to an existing facility in Savannah.
