Savannah earns high marks as a destination

Lately Savannah has been racking up awards as THE place to visit. Readers of Travel + Leisure magazine recently ranked our historic coastal city at No. 3 in the 2017 Top 15 U.S. Cities, bested only by Santa Fe, N.M., and Charleston, S.C. The competition was fierce this year, with more than half of the magazine’s most popular destinations located in the South.
Readers of Southern Living were also enamored with Savannah’s charms, voting it No. 2 on the 2017 South’s Best Cities list. (Separately, readers voted to include St. Simons, Jekyll and Tybee Islands on the South’s Best Islands list.)
Finally, Harper’s Bazaar magazine named Savannah No. 2 on its list of the 10 Best Summer Vacation Hotspots that will Save You Money This Year. The list includes locations around the world, putting Savannah in prestigious company.
Maybe it’s time to plan a fall getaway.
