Regional HQ: German grocery retailer Lidl is opening a regional headquarters and distribution center in Cartersville. The company has already opened 10 stores in the U.S. in June, with up to 100 stores along the East Coast by next summer. The $100-million facility will employ 250.


Fayette County Facility: SILON is opening a $20-million facility in Peachtree City. The Czech-based company, which produces technical compounds and polyester staple fibers for the construction, automotive and medical industries, will create more than 20 jobs.


Go Gwinnett: Carcoustics, a German automotive supplier, is opening a facility in Buford. The $6-million investment will create 200 jobs over the next five years.


Atlanta Expansion: Global management company Boston Consulting Group is building a regional support center in downtown Atlanta, a $9.2-million investment that will create more than 200 jobs. The facility will be completed in June 2018.


Logistics Hub: Shipping supplier Uline is opening a Southeast logistics hub in Braselton, shifting its existing warehouses from Duluth and Buford. The facility will initially employ 450 people, with plans to grow to 600 employees over the next few years.


Kennesaw Logistics: German logistics firm KNAPP is expanding its North American headquarters in Kennesaw. The 50,000-square-foot expansion will be completed in 2018, and the company plans to add 150 employees, doubling its current workforce to 300.


Bibb Distribution: Tyson Foods Inc. is expanding its warehouse and distribution center in Bibb County. The $59-million investment, which will be completed in late 2018, will nearly double the existing facility and add 102 jobs.
