Winning Deal: A 200-acre sports and entertainment complex is coming to Stonecrest in DeKalb County, creating an estimated 2,000 jobs. The $200-million Atlanta City Sports will be the second largest multi-sports facility in the Southeast and will include a 15,000-seat stadium, 22 soccer fields, 7 baseball diamonds, a 204,000-square-foot indoor athletic facility and five basketball courts.


Light Distribution: Elk Group International, which designs and imports light fixtures and home decor, is investing $2 million into a 400,000-square-foot distribution center in Screven County, creating more than 100 jobs over the next three years.


Columbus Expansion: Pratt & Whitney is expanding again in Columbus, investing $386 million into its existing facility and adding 220,000 square feet and 500 jobs over the next five years.


Batter Up: Sports Warehouse, a baseball uniform and equipment wholesaler based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., will invest up to $20 million in Forsyth County when it opens its East Coast hub there. The location will create more than 340 jobs.


Metro Software: Communications software company SalesLoft is moving from Buckhead to Midtown Atlanta this summer. The company will add more than 250 jobs within the next five years as part of the expansion.


Treating Children: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the country’s largest pediatric systems, is building a $1-billion pediatric hospital in Atlanta at North Druid Hills Road and I-85.


Fulton Logistics: South Korean company Samsung is opening a 550,000-square-foot distribution center in Fairburn.
