On the Table: Meal and grocery delivery service company Home Chef is opening a distribution and packaging center in DeKalb County. The $3.5-million facility will employ 1,200 by 2020.


Sure-footed: Adidas is opening its first U.S. production plant in Cherokee County. The 74,000-square-foot Speedfactory will manufacture an initial 50,000 pairs of shoes in 2017, eventually increasing to 500,000 pairs of shoes a year.


Bartow Expansion: voestalpine Automotive Body Parts Inc. is expanding in Bartow County. The $50-million expansion will create 150 jobs.


Clayton County Calls: Customer contact service provider Chime Solutions is adding 1,000 new employees this fall to its Morrow call center.


More FinTech: Global Payments is adding 200 jobs in the Metro Atlanta area. The payments processing company will expand R&D operations in its Sandy Springs office and move its headquarters to Buckhead in 2017.


Food on the Fly: Amazon is opening a $7-million, 100,000-square-foot distribution center in Duluth in anticipation of the launch of its AmazonFresh same-day grocery delivery service in Metro Atlanta.


Business Calls: Cloud-based communications company magicJack is investing $12 million into its magicJack for Business headquarters in Alpharetta, creating 150 jobs by the end of 2017.
