Perry Textiles: German textile supplier Sandler AG is building a $30-million manufacturing facility in Houston County that will employ 140.
Norcross Solar: Suniva Inc. is investing $96 million into an expansion of its facility in Gwinnett County. The company, which manufactures solar cells and modules, will create 500 jobs.
Flying High: The Boeing Co. is converting its existing military facility in Macon-Bibb County into a commercial facility that will manufacture fuselage panel assemblies for the 747-8. The $81.7-million investment will create 200 new jobs when it begins production in 2018.
Poultry Jobs: Statesboro-based Coastal Meats is opening a new chicken processing facility in Louisville, bringing 115 jobs to the community.
Cherokee Auto: Automotive manufacturer Piolax USA is expanding its Canton facility with a new 82,000-square-foot building scheduled to open in 2016. The company, which specializes in plastic and metal automotive parts, will hire 30 as part of the expansion.
Trucking in Duluth: Nextran Corp. will create 80 jobs when it opens a 55,000-square-foot sales and service facility, the first of its kind in Metro Atlanta.
