Economic Development: October 2015

Dade Trailers: Vanguard National Trailer Corp. is investing $30 million to open a new 350,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Dade County, creating 400 jobs. The company manufactures dry freight and refrigerated semi-trailer vans.

Sports in Braselton: Sporting goods company Mizuno USA has opened a 520,000-square-foot distribution and golf club manufacturing center in Barrow County. The facility employs 160 people.

Gwinnett Outdoors: Chinese company Ningbo Huige Outdoor Products  will open its North American headquarters in Peachtree Corners. The facility will include office space and a warehouse for distribution of outdoor equipment, including barbecue grills, smokers and heaters.

Canton Expansion: Automotive manufacturer Piolax USA is expanding in Cherokee County. The 82,000-square-foot expansion will add 30 jobs to the existing 255 employees.

Kodak Jobs: Eastman Kodak is expanding its facility in Columbus, which will become the sole manufacturer of SONORA printing plates sold in the Americas. The $28-million investment will create 240 jobs.

Healthcare Software: Patientco, an Atlanta-based healthcare payments software firm, is expanding in Buckhead. The expansion will more than triple its workforce in the next 18 months.

Food Distribution: Performance Food Group Inc. is expanding its Performance Foodservice – Milton facility in Oakwood. The 174,000-square-foot building will be built on 43 acres adjacent to its existing site.
