Shine On: Wells Lighting is opening its first North American headquarters in Millen, representing a $30-million investment and creating 200 jobs. The South Korea-based company will locate in an existing 92,000-square-foot building.


Atlanta Expansion: Chicago-based Applied Systems is expanding in Buckhead, adding 20,838 square feet of office space and creating 150 jobs. The company, which provides software and management systems for the insurance industry, first opened its Atlanta location in 2011.


Cancer Care: Varian Medical Systems is expanding in Fulton County, creating up to 100 jobs over the next five years. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based medical device and software manufacturer’s updated facility should be open by November.


Electric Growth: Madison Electric Products is opening a new 55,000-square-foot southeast distribution center in Duluth. The Cleveland-based company will also add 10 to 12 new employees.


West Point HQ: ITC Security Partners is moving its headquarters to West Point, adding 10,000 square feet to its existing facility. The security services provider will create 90 jobs over the next three years. 


Truckin’: Commercial truck dealer Vanguard Truck Group is expanding in Banks County, adding 18 to 24 new jobs. The company operates dealerships in Arizona, Missouri, Texas and Georgia.


Clear View: Vista Window Co. is expanding in Swainsboro. The window manufacturer will create 50 jobs and invest $2 million into the 57,000-square-foot facility.
