Bryan County Expansion: Daniel Defense is growing its existing operations in Black Creek. The $20-million investment will add 120 new jobs over the next five years.
Retail Support in Commerce: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is opening a Southeast distribution center in Jackson County, creating 175 new jobs. The $14.6-million, 962,000-square-foot facility will support the company’s plans to expand, which includes adding 30-40 new stores in Georgia over the next four years.
Tech Park: World Internet Group is developing a $100-million, 40-acre Georgia Technology Park in Henry County that will create 3,500 jobs over the next five years. The Stockbridge-based company’s campus will include an innovation lab, an accelerator, a re-search center and multiple data centers.
Lavonia Auto: Automotive supplier Kautex of Georgia Inc. is adding a 95,000-square-foot warehouse to its existing facilities in Hart County. The $3.3-million investment will be completed by May 2014.
Brunswick Expansion: Gulfstream Aero-space Corp. is ex-panding its Brunswick service center. The $25-million, 110,000-square-foot maintenance, repair and overhaul facility will be located at the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport and will create 100 new jobs – a 50 percent increase in the Brunswick location’s workforce. It is expected to be completed by May 2015.
Marietta Jobs: Due to a global expansion, eVestment is adding 40 to 50 people to its North American headquarters in Marietta. The company provides digital data and forecasts on capital flows to investment houses and fund managers.
Robots in Hall: Tel Aviv, Israel-based innoBots is opening its U.S. headquarters in Hall County. The designer and manufacturer of unmanned robots for surveillance and explosive device identification will hire at least 50 employees over the next two years.
Food at Hart: Food pro-cessor Lake Foods opened a $4-million, 62,000-square-foot facility in Hart County in February that will initially employ 28 people.
Hospitality Software: Alpharetta-based Red Book Connect is adding 50 employees in 2014. The company develops cloud-based back-office operations software for restaurants, hotels and retailers.
