New Cobb Jobs: Fres-enius Medical Care is opening a billing and insurance verification center in Kennesaw. The office will launch with 75 to 80 new employees with plans to hire a total of 120.
Another Kia Supplier: Daewon America is opening a manufacturing facility in LaGrange, creating 100 jobs over the next three years and making a $14-million investment. The South Korea-based company manufacturers automotive springs and torsion bars and is a direct supplier to the Kia motors assembly plant in West Point.
Toyota in Jackson: Some 320 new jobs are expected at a new Toyota Industries Compessor Parts America plant that will locate in Jackson County, representing a $350-million investment. Toyota expects to begin operations in late 2013.
Equinox Expansion: Equinox Chemical Co. is expanding its operations in Albany, investing $1.5 million into a new facility and creating 46 new jobs. The company also recently acquired Adco Cleaning Products, resulting in a relocation of 24 jobs from its former Missouri headquarters.
New at Savannah Port: The Judge Organization, a New Jersey-based logistics company, recently opened a 266,700-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in Savannah at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center. The new facility will add 20 new positions by the end of 2012, with a total of 45 jobs over the next three years.
Six Flags Hiring: Six Flags Over Georgia in Cobb County will be hiring 2,400 temporary workers for its 45th anniversary season, which begins this month.
New in Duluth: Ryer-son Inc., a Chicago-based metal processing and distribution company, is opening a 147,000-square-foot warehouse in Duluth, adding 25 jobs.
Durocky in Lowndes: Durocky Road, LLC has broken ground in Lowndes County on a 150,000-square-foot logistics and distribution facility for crop protection chemicals. The $4.8-million project will create about 125 construction trade jobs and will employ 25 people once the facility opens in August.
Clean Energy to Dalton: Acworth-based Clean Energy Conversions has announced it is building a facility in Dalton to produce high-grade synthetic crude oil from carpet-derived plastic waste. Work on the facility will begin in early 2013, and it is expected to initially create 20 jobs.
Jobs in Warner Robins: Saudi Arabia has ordered 84 Boeing-made F-15SA fighter aircrafts from the U.S., a $29.4-billion purchase that will mean up to 85 contractor and civil service jobs at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins.
