Changes Afoot: The world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, has announced ATLNext, a 20-year, $6-billion expansion that will include revamped parking areas, another concourse and, way down the road, another runway. Starting this year, the existing domestic terminal will get a $393-million revamp; next year, five new gates will be added to Concourse T and a new 10-gate Concourse G will get underway.
Clean Quarters: EnviroVac has opened its new corporate headquarters in Garden City. The industrial cleaning, environmental services and on-site maintenance company is combining 15 offices into this one central location, bringing 50 jobs to the state.
Cobb Expansion: Industrial distributor HD Supply Holdings is expanding in Cobb County, investing more than $100 million over the next five years and creating 500 new jobs.
Peach Co. Jobs: Blue Bird Corp. is adding 200 jobs at its body-assembly plant in Fort Valley. The school bus manufacturer is ramping up production by more than 50 percent to meet customer demand.
Augusta Facility: ICT Industries is opening a facility in south Augusta. The Cartersville-based specialty polymers and surfactants manufacturer will create 100 new jobs at the new plant, which will produce chemicals to clean, protect and waterproof surfaces.
